Established in 2005
Boys read was originally started in 2005 as a non-profit by grade 7 to 12 teachers founded by Roger Nevin who was a secondary school teacher librarian.
It was started because Roger found it a challenge to get boys to read. With work from other teachers they did research, contacted authors and presented at educational conferences on reading material that actually worked with boys from grade 7 to grade 10.
Mission
To Improve literacy for boys from grade 7 to grade 10. The goal is to make them lifelong readers.
Vision
To recommend reading material that boys actually enjoy reading.
